Global Memory#
Global memory is a powerful feature of the Connext AI platform which allows you to store and manage information across multiple sessions. This functionality is particularly useful for users who frequently interact with Connext AI features and want to maintain context or reference specific details in their conversations.
For example you can use global memory to store information about your preferred RTI product, release version, or any other relevant details that you want the platform to remember for future interactions. This can help streamline your conversations and ensure that the platform provides more personalized and relevant responses.
In order to create a new memory, it’s just as easy as typing a message in the chat with explicit instructions for the bot.

Once you have some memories you can manage them by simply clicking on the popover ❓ located in the top right corner of the chat interface and then clicking Memory.

This will open the memory management UI, where you can view, edit, or delete stored memories.

There is a special kind of memory that will always be displayed at the top:
Product: A “product” refers to one of the Real-Time Innovations Connext products, which can be Connext Professional, Connext Micro, Connext Drive, Connext TSS, or Connext Cert.
Version: Product version selection (e.g. 7.3.0, 6.1.2, etc).
Language: Programming language selection (especially useful for generating snippets of code in your preferred language).
Other memories will be displayed afterwards, preserving the order in which they were added.
There is a maximum of 32 memories that can be stored per user.
Memories will be used across the whole Connext AI platform (Chatbot, System Designer integration, Connext for Github Copilot, etc).
