What is Connext AI#
Connext AI is a suite of LLM–powered tools designed to build robust, scalable real-time systems. It is purpose-built for Connext to help accelerate development, simplify debugging and configuration, and seamlessly integrate into development processes.
- Connext AI offers three tools:
Connext Chatbot: Your 24/7 assistant for real-time help, FAQs, and advanced guidance with code snippets and validation.
Connext Copilot: Your AI-powered coding assistant, purpose-built for developers working with Connext in VS Code-based IDEs (e.g., VS Code, Cursor, etc). It helps you quickly and reliably build, configure, and troubleshoot DDS-based systems.
AI-Powered System Designer: RTI’s architecture design tool is now enhanced with AI to provide real-time validation and contextual guidance during system configuration.
How is Connext AI different from ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini?#
- Connext AI offers three key benefits over generic AI assistants:
Context awareness: It recognizes that your question pertains to Connext without needing additional context.
Official sources: It provides hyperlinks to official RTI documentation at the end of its answers, allowing you to verify and learn more about the information given. Other AI assistants lack this feature or do not provide the same depth and granularity of sourcing Connext AI offers.
High-quality, free answers: It delivers high-quality answers for free with your Connext license. RTI’s internal benchmarking reveals that Connext Chatbot offers unmatched quality in answering Connext-related questions, outperforming other free and paid options.
Knowledge base#
Connext AI does not use any customer data for training the model. See the Connext AI Privacy Policy for more information.
Connext AI is trained on a variety of RTI resources to ensure comprehensive and accurate responses. These resources include the RTI Community’s curated knowledge base solutions; detailed product documentation, such as user manuals, getting started guides, API references, and release notes; and whitepapers, datasheets, and capability briefs. Additionally, it leverages examples and repositories from public sources like GitHub, including RTI Community examples, the RTI Gateway, ROS 2, shipped examples, the RTI nano-agent, and the RTI nano-client.
Connext AI can provide answers that reference data types from RTI’s public GitHub repositories, including the GVA Reference Model; we acknowledge the use of this work in accordance with the terms of the Open Government License v3.
